Who we are
Truve is a habit-accountability service operated under the name Sententic, based in India. This policy covers the Truve app, this website and support interactions. For privacy questions and rights requests, contact [email protected].
The information we handle
- Account and profile: account ID, email, sign-in provider, display name, username, avatar, optional profile details and settings.
- Habit activity: habit names, schedules, categories, commitments, proof submissions, review decisions, appeals, streaks, partner connections and reliability records.
- Content you share: proof photos; chat messages, photos, videos, voice notes and reactions; reports and support messages. Media can contain personal information you choose to include.
- Token and subscription records: balances, promotional/earned provenance, commitments, deposits, rewards, receipts, purchase verification and entitlement status. Store payment providers handle card/payment details; we do not need your full card number.
- Technical and safety information: device model, operating-system/app details, device-derived identifiers or fingerprints, capture/upload times, content hashes, network/server logs, notification tokens and platform-integrity results used for security and fraud prevention.
Why we use it
We use information to provide accounts and profiles; connect partners; deliver messages and notifications; validate proof and settle commitments; run subscriptions and eligible rewards; investigate reports, appeals and abuse; respond to support; and maintain the service. Optional AI-assisted features may send relevant habit context, prompts or submitted content to Google Gemini to produce the requested output. Do not put secrets or sensitive third-party information into prompts or uploads.
Who can see your information
Other users can see profile information according to the product’s visibility controls and the content you send to them. Your assigned reviewer can access the proof needed for a review. Authorised operators and service providers may access relevant information to operate, secure and moderate the service. We do not claim that messages are end-to-end encrypted. A recipient can retain a screenshot or copy even after you unsend content.
Service providers and disclosures
We use Google/Firebase for authentication, database and notifications; Cloudflare for website/media delivery and storage; Render for backend processing; Google Play and, where available, Apple for store transactions; Google Play Integrity for Android integrity checks; and Google Gemini for AI-assisted functions. Some legacy media was handled by Cloudinary. Google Mobile Ads/AdMob is integrated for app advertising and may process device/ad identifiers, IP address, interactions and diagnostic information under its own policies and applicable consent requirements. This website does not load advertising or analytics scripts.
We may disclose information when necessary to comply with lawful requests, protect users, investigate fraud or abuse, or complete a business transfer with appropriate notice and protections. We do not sell private chat or proof content to advertisers. Read Google’s privacy policy, Cloudflare’s privacy policy and your store’s privacy information for their independent processing.
Permissions and your choices
Camera, microphone and media permissions support the features you choose to use. You can change device permissions and notification settings; disabling a permission can prevent the corresponding feature from working. Review profile visibility, activity status, read receipts and blocking controls in the app. Advertising-related consent and choices depend on the app version, platform and region. Device settings and Google’s ad controls provide additional choices.
How long information is kept
We keep active-account information for service delivery and the purposes described here. You can request deletion at any time. Routine content is removed through our deletion workflows, but removal is not always immediate. Unresolved deposits, financial adjustments, disputes, moderation cases, legal obligations or safety evidence can require limited records to be held. Transaction/audit receipts and fraud-prevention records may be retained after account deletion where needed for those purposes. Retention depends on the record and unresolved obligation; we do not promise that every record disappears on a fixed day. Contact us about a particular record or request.
Unsend/delete controls do not guarantee removal of a recipient’s copies. Historical copies at a third-party provider may need separate handling. We restrict retained evidence rather than making it part of a public profile.
Account deletion and data requests
Use Settings → Account → Delete account, or the web account-deletion route if you no longer have the app. We verify ownership and explain relevant holds or additional steps. You may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection where applicable, or withdraw consent for processing based on consent. We respond under the requirements that apply to your request. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an Apple/Google subscription.
International processing and legal grounds
Our service providers may process data outside your country. Applicable safeguards and provider terms govern those transfers. Where a legal basis is required, processing may rely on providing the service you request, legitimate interests such as safety and fraud prevention subject to your rights, consent for applicable optional uses, or legal obligations. Rights and complaint routes depend on your location; you may contact an applicable data-protection authority.
Adults, security and updates
Truve is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly offer accounts to children. Contact us if you believe an underage person has an account. We use access controls, authenticated private-media delivery and other safeguards, but no service can guarantee absolute security. We update this policy when practices change and provide additional notice where required. The date at the top identifies this version.
